Description
Owning, running or creating a business brings many responsibilities,
including compliance with various federal labor and employment laws. The
Wage and Hour Division (WHD) of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
administers and enforces some of the nation’s most comprehensive federal
labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act. The FLSA establishes
minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and child labor standards
affecting nearly every employer and worker in America. WHD is
committed to providing employers with the tools they need to operate in
compliance with the variety of labor laws enforced by the Division. This
Virtual Lunchtime Learning Class is designed to provide essential
information about employers’ obligations under the FLSA and will help
guide them toward operating their businesses in full compliance with
federal labor regulations.
