The Mercy Golf Classic, benefitting Mercy Health Foundation, will be Monday, August 8 at Oak Hills Golf & Country Club in Ada. This is the ninth consecutive year Mercy has hosted the fundraising event. The four-person scramble tournament includes a morning shotgun start and lunch. Proceeds from the tournament will help fund renovations and upgrades at Mercy Hospital Ada’s award-winning birthplace at Mercy Hospital Ada. Improvements to the unit will include new equipment that will allow Mercy to continue offering the highest level of care for newborns and mothers. Between 400 and 500 babies are delivered every year at Mercy Ada, which also offers a Level II neonatal intensive care unit for the tiniest babies needing more critical care. “Providing exceptional quality and compassionate health care in the Ada area is an honor, and we’re grateful to all those who will participate in the tournament,” said Terence Farrell, president of Mercy Hospital Ada. “The Mercy Golf Classic allows members of the community to share in our continuing efforts to provide excellent care right here at home.” Mercy Hospital Ada was recently recognized for the third consecutive year as a Newsweek Best Maternity Hospital.
